When his grandma gave him his first VHS camera, fourteen-year-old Darren Field fell in love with being behind the lens. He knew immediately that was where he belonged, and he began mowing lawns so he could buy more and more equipment. He spent his time filming small events and making movies with his friends.
By the time he was 16, other people realized there was something magical about the way Darren viewed and filmed the world, and they began hiring him to film and edit. Darren’s love of filming and prodigious ability meant a natural progression to Promotion Arts, and while many of his high school friends were slinging burgers after school, he began working in the industry at the age of 17.
Darren’s commercial portfolio is impressive, including corporate giants like Starbucks Entertainment, Sizzle, Red Robin, Proctor & Gamble, Seattle Seahawks (Shawn Alexander’s player demo reel), Discovery channel, and others. He’s traveled three continents filming and editing footage.
Beyond the high points of commercial filming, however, Darren has chosen to focus the majority of his creative power on people who are celebrating life in the non-corporate world – specifically, weddings.
Darren knows that since every wedding has its own story and culture, every wedding is a different creative idea. He believes a great wedding movie has a cinematic feeling that captures and showcases the unique aspects of the bride and groom’s experience, and he’s passionate about delivering the highest quality.
When Darren isn’t behind the lens or editing footage in his Seattle-area office, he enjoys watching movies, snowboarding, playing volleyball, listening to music and schooling any opponent who dares challenge him in ping-pong.
Shane McKown began his career in Mass Media in 2001. He started in Journalism and quickly moved into the more creative aspects of the industry. Shane graduated from the “Art Institute of Seattle” with a degree in Video Production in 2005. Since that time his career has taken him all over the country and later the world. He spent a few years working between Las Vegas and Los Angeles before returning home to the North West, where He wrote a travel/adventure documentary. In 2009 Shane set out to film, produce, and direct the documentary in Nicaragua. Shane is now working as a producer for a local Bellevue company and continues to follow his passion for Video Production, at work, as well as where his journey truly began, as a hobby. Shane has done many different jobs in production but writing and directing continue to be his focus and passion.

It’s hard for me to put into words how much our wedding video means to me. We really debated whether or not to pay out the extra money for a video, but thought it might be worth the extra money. It turned out to be WELL worth the money. We got a video that not only documented such an important event, but we also got a video we actually enjoy to watch. During Halloween, when all the other kids in the neighborhood dressed up as ghouls and goblins, Mark dressed up as his favorite DJ. It was a sign of things to come.
Marks passion for music, especially hip-hop, inspired him as a teenager. He began break dancing, which always drew him to school dances. As a dancer he worked closely with a local DJ to help craft set lists and keep his peers dancing which eventually gained him a spot in the mix.
With help from his brother, who was studying toward a degree in mass communications, Mark began to explore the art of live sound. In college, he ran sound for local artists and churches, gaining valuable experience as a sound technician.
After graduating from college, he returned home to work and volunteer in his community. He channeled his passion and expertise into an underage hip hop club, which exploded onto the scene and was a successful venture for four years, with Mark overseeing the project as DJ, sound technician and operations manager. Word spread about Marks talent and professionalism, and people soon began requesting him for weddings and special events.
Today, Mark brings all of his passion and knowledge as well as a jaw-dropping lighting system and crystal clear sound to provide the next level of musical entertainment to his clients.
